As a child of the 1960s and 70s growing up surrounded by the space race and the birth of rock 'n' roll, I didn't limit myself to a single dream. While most kids wanted to be astronauts or rock stars, I saw possibility in everything. I was the child of a magician father who wore tuxedos and appeared on Ed Sullivan, learning to assist and eventually perform as his opening act.

But I was also drawn to the world of STEM, fascinated by the emerging field of artificial intelligence and the promise of technology. My dreams weren't confined to one path—they were an ever-expanding collection of possibilities. I imagined myself in the space program one day and performing on stage the next. This breadth of vision would later become my greatest strength as an entrepreneur.

While raising a family, I worked in the corporate world, building technical skills and understanding business operations, but the performer in me never truly went quiet. The real magic happened when I stopped trying to separate these different parts of myself. I realized that my diverse experiences—from being a soldier to a college professor, from a janitor to a global project manager—weren't detours from my dream but essential elements of it.

Today, as Jane Illusionist, I blend storytelling with stage magic, corporate training with theatrical performance, and technology with emotion. My childhood dreams didn't just come true; they evolved into something richer and more complex than that young child watching her father perform could have imagined.

What I've discovered is that dreams aren't meant to be singular or static. They grow and transform as we do, collecting pieces of every experience along the way. The magic isn't just in achieving what you dreamed of as a child—it's in allowing those dreams to expand into something uniquely your own.
